Get your Wave Field online
Your Wave Field ships pre-flashed with WLED. Follow these steps to connect it to your network and load the Wave Field preset pack.
Connect to Wave Field WiFi
Your Wave Field broadcasts a WiFi network named "WaveField-XXXX". Connect to it from your phone or computer. No password required.
Open the WLED Interface
Navigate to 192.168.4.1 in your browser. The WLED control interface will load automatically. You'll see a color picker and effect controls.
Configure Your LED Matrix
Go to Config → LED Preferences. Set LED count to match your build (256mm = 130 LEDs). Set matrix width and height, and enable the serpentine setting to match the alternating strip layout.
Connect to Your Home WiFi
Go to Config → WiFi Setup. Enter your home network credentials. Wave Field will join your network and be accessible at a local IP address — no more needing to connect to the WaveField hotspot.
Install the WLED App
Download the WLED app for iOS or Android. Once Wave Field is on your home network, it will appear automatically in the app. Control effects, brightness, and colors from your phone.
Load Wave Field Presets
Download our curated preset pack below and import it via Config → Back up & restore → Restore. You'll get a set of effects tuned specifically for the Wave Field display geometry.
